Our God is in the middle of town.

We have resorted to calling churches in advance (before we ever reach the town). Which tonight has landed us in the courtyard of a church right on the middle of Main street in downtown Lexington, Virginia. We have some time before we need be back in the midwest so we have slowed our pace to an almost crawl. We camped with a lady that is backpacking the Appalachian Trail last night and this morning the camp manager drove us all to breakfast. My bike broke and subsequently was welded by a fellow Iowan at no cost.
